As part of the development of this site we are asking all members to send us your favourite pics from your time at the Club, on the river and from excursions beyond. The hope is to be able to show what things were like around here in days gone by. Pics of boats, people and places are welcome and will be credited to the person submitting them. Acknowledgements will be displayed with each pic or series of pics.

Pics may be submitted in digital format by email to aquaticclub@yahoo.ca If you have photographs and no way to digitize them, send an email to us and we will arrange to have digital copies made.

Two recent views of the river (click to enlarge)

Looking upriver to the northeast. A beautiful but cold day, the river has a solid frozen sheet extending from just around the bend all the way up. In the foreground are multiple smaller, broken ice chunks being pushed up against it by the incoming tide. The tide was about 1 1/2hours on the flood at this time.

The same view as above but about 3 hours later. The tide is approaching the high water mark and the many back eddys are dispersing the pack ice which was being pushed up the river earlier. It looks a lot bleaker without the sun!
