With the installation of the floats and the berthing of boats, it is time to initiate the locking of the gate for the summer season. The following is the procedure to be used when going to and from the floats during this boating season.
1. The gate is to be locked by the last person leaving the area in the evening or during the day when it is obvious that no one is around the Club or floats (no cars in the parking area) or that it is reasonable to assume that no boaters are out on the river and likely to return soon.
2. Members should always carry a gate key with their boat or car keys.
3. A spare key is available in the Clubhouse for those who forget their key when going to the floats and should be returned to the Club immediately after opening the gate.
4. A key is also available on the float side of the gate (call 902-748-3632) if returning from downriver and the gate has been inadvertently locked.
